Profile - Ordre professionnel des psychologues du Québec

Description of Clinical Pratice

I offer individual psychotherapy services in French and English for adults of all ages. Through my professional experiences, I had to intervene and develop an ease with a diversified clientele. I give you some examples here, but it's not a complete list: people living with anxiety, depression, victims of sexual abuse, people living with either deep discomfort, embarrassment or shame about their sexuality, as well as issues about their femininity/masculinity.

I also intervene with people in the LGBTQIA+ community. If you are trans, I want to specify that I am not trained to offer you the letters of recommendation for hormone therapy and surgeries. For other needs than those associated with these letters, it will be my pleasure to see you in therapy.

Other Services

As a sexologist and psychotherapist, I also offer sex therapy services that focuses on main themes of human sexuality such as sexual, relationship and affective difficulties, as well as those related to health (see the section on reasons to consult).

Intervention Methods

With my clients, I adopt an empathic, open and nonjudgmental approach. Throughout your follow-up, we will be able to discuss and establish together goals that make sense to you according to your needs. This shows the dynamic and collaborative aspect of the therapy. I am committed to developing a therapeutic relationship of trust with you, since it is a central component of a psychotherapy process.

For me, the collaborative aspect also comes from the fact that I have an active role in the therapeutic relationship, where I get involved and intervene during our sessions. Yes you read correctly, I am a therapist who talks during sessions, but it is important for me to do it while giving you the space you need, because after all therapy is a time that you dedicate to yourself and your well-being.

My main theoretical approach is humanistic-existential. The intervention is adapted to your particular characteristics and needs.
